CONGRATULATIONS QUEENSWAY CHILDREN’S CENTRE DAY CARE – 15 wonderful years of childcare since February 2010
Hello and welcome to Queensway Children’s Centre Day Care and Pre School. We opened our day care and pre-school facilities in February 2010, previously providing creche facilities for the Children’s Centre to support courses, training and activities as and when required. The day nursery/ pre school is open fifty one weeks a year, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm, closing Christmas week, and provides 65 places for children 0-5 years.

The nursery also offers the 15 hours per week Government funding for children three years and above for 38 weeks of the year. Some children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours nursery education funding, for more information please discuss this with the Nursery Manager.
We can also offer 15 hours per week funding for 38 weeks per year for eligible 9 month olds and eligible two year olds as well as the additional 15 hours for eligible children, please discuss this with the Nursery Manager.

Play is one of the main ways in which children learn. It helps to build self worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.
