We offer funded early education places (15/30 hours per week depending on eligibility, 38 weeks per year) for:

  • 3 and 4-year-olds
  • Eligible 9-month-olds and 2-year-olds

Some families may also be entitled to an additional 15 hours of funding . For more information about eligibility and support, please speak to our Nursery Manager, who will be happy to help.

Havelock Day Nursery can accommodate 72 children across 3 rooms:-

Babies – 2months to 24months   Twos – 2 years to 3 years   Preschoolers– 3 years to school age.

OUR CURRICULUM AIM is to teach children the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the environment around them. Using the children’s own interests we enable them to have the drive to explore and have a go through many differentiated activities tailored for their individual needs. We want children to leave our setting equipped with the following skills, self-esteem, good fine and gross motor skills, growing language and communication skills, an interest in further learning and development.

We encourage this by reading stories, singing songs, role model to the children, implementing behaviour and language in line with British values, encouraging building relationships with children and their families and peers. We provide activities, resources and experiences that promote and develop all areas of development. We provide opportunities for children to explore the world around them. We promote independence and share learning experiences in line with safety, hygiene, safeguarding, sustainability and growth. We work in partnership with parents and have ongoing discussions around furthering our help and support to not only parents and children inside our setting but also the outside community.

Safeguarding is our highest priority and we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in our care. For further information please visit North East Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership | NELC . We also actively promote British values throughout our nursery environment.

Play is one of the main ways in which children learn. It helps to build self worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.

We have a very affordable pricing plan and you may qualify for 30 hrs free please ring us for further advice.
