About Our Nursery
CONGRATULATIONS – BROADWAY DAY CARE AND PRE SCHOOL celebrates 19 wonderful years of childcare since November 2006
Hello and welcome to Broadway Day Care and Pre School. Our new purpose built nursery opened in November 2006.
Within the nursery /pre-school we have one large bright, spacious, base room for children from birth to 5 years, with children under two years having their own separate play area and sleep area. Our room is fun, bright and attractive to children, with areas for active play, eating, sleeping and quiet times.
Every day in Nursery is carefully planned to ensure your child receives the best learning opportunities in a safe, fun and caring environment whilst ensuring we meet the individual social, physical and emotional needs of each child. All equipment used is of a high quality and is especially designed and chosen for the benefit and stimulation of the children.
We receive 15 hours nursery education funding for 3 and 4 yr olds, and for some eligible 9 month olds and 2yr olds, for 38 weeks per year. Some 3 and 4 year old children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours nursery education funding, for more information please discuss this with the Nursery Manager.

Please visit our spacious areas both inside and outdoors to meet our highly trained staff, many over and above the legal requirement of qualifications including university status. Our priority in the Nursery is to work in partnership with families and we welcome visits to discuss their individual needs. Play is one of the main ways in which children learn. It helps to build self worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.
