CONGRATULATIONS – CENTRAL DAY CARE AND PRE SCHOOL celebrated 17 wonderful years of childcare since September 2006 Hello and welcome to Central Day Care and Pre School Provider. We opened our new purpose built nursery / pre school in September 2006. We are open 9am to 3pm term time only – our nursery is closed during the School holidays. Within the nursery we have one large bright, spacious, base room for children from 2 to 5 years. Our room is fun, bright and attractive to children, with areas for active play, eating, sleeping and quiet times. Every day in Nursery is carefully planned to ensure your child receives the best learning opportunities in a safe, fun and caring environment whilst ensuring we meet the individual social, physical and emotional needs of each child. All equipment used is of a high quality and is especially designed and chosen for the benefit and stimulation of the children. We receive 15 hours nursery education funding for 3 and 4 yr olds, and for some eligible 2yr olds, for 38 weeks per year. Some 3 and 4 year old children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours nursery education funding, for more information please discuss this with the Nursery Manager. Play is one of the main ways in which children learn. It helps to build self worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.
