Healthy Food

Meal times are happy, relaxed social occasions.  Children sit in small groups at tables, and older children serve themselves.  Meals are freshly cooked each day for the children; we offer breakfast, morning snack, a cooked 2 course lunch, afternoon snack and tea. Meals are well balanced and nutritious. All ingredients are fresh and sourced locally from our local suppliers. We cater for any special diets or preferences and can supply baby weaning meals. Fresh drinking water is available for the children throughout the day.

1 There are many reasons for everyone to enjoy eating a wide variety of vegetables and fruit. Vegetables and fruit provide important vitamins such as vitamin C and folic acid. They also have other plant substances that are thought important to help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease.

2 Ever since the beginnings of agriculture, cereals have provided unlimited health benefits to mankind as a staple food in our diet. Cereals are rich in complex carbohydrates that provide you with ample energy, and help to prevent cancer, constipation, colon disorders, high blood sugar levels and also enrich your overall health with abundant proteins, fats, lipids, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes.

3 Several important nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, fiber and folate are under-consumed in the United States, according to the USDA. Fruits and vegetables are good sources of these nutrients, along with many other nutrients, and fruits and vegetables can help fill the nutrient gaps in your child’s diet.
